This summer is almost over and many records were broken. Dean had his first trip the beach and I believe he thoroughly enjoyed it. Both Rachel and I had a fantastic time as well. There was plenty of eating, relaxing, and family time. See the video below for Dean's first interaction with the ocean and its monstorous waves. (at least to him) Part way through the week we got to see Aunt Nancy, Uncle Ed, Aunt Sue, and my Dad. It was a wonderful visit. We walked the boardwalk and got our feet into the sand for a bit as well.
Dean is learning so much these days and it wont be long before he is talking in complete sentences. He is also going to have to learn to be a sibling now that Rachel and I are expecting. We are currently 16 weeks into the pregnancy and at the last sonogram there were no sign of boy parts so it looks likely that we will have a little girl. Rachel is getting along fine and it is definitely a very different pregnancy than last time. We are both glad that the weather seems to have finally broken. It has been over 100+ degrees for the last 8 weeks plus humidity. This means we did not get out much this summer and I was not able to work in the shop. Now that it is cooling off I am about to complete the Picnic table I have been working on. I hope to finish it this weekend and get it outside. I really need to begin work on the crib soon since Rachel is Due at the end of January.
